About Us

Brookside originated in a small dales village run by Jason’s late Father, Alan Smith in 1972. Operating as a Hardwood timber merchant to many estates in the area where Jason served his time as a cutter and arborist. He then moved on to work for several large vegetation management companies covering a broad range of works including site clearance, domestic and commercial tree work, utility vegetation clearance, tree surveying and landscaping. Following on from his father’s legacy, Jason returned to his roots, continuing the brookside name as Brookside Tree Services. Initially providing arboriculture, forestry services and Land based training and operating in the Yorkshire Dales area. As the company grew, Jason went onto establish PLS Group UK with Brookside Tree services acting as a sister company providing arboricultural expertise no longer just operating regionally but nationally too.
