PLS Group UK were approached by a new client to carry out tree clearance works of an area of semi ancient old woodland coppice adjacent to a major reservoir chain. This was to allow re stabilisation work to the banking which had begun to move. After several weeks of planning between the client, ecology teams and expert advice from PLS Group UK, it was decided that smaller, low impact machines would be used to ensure minimal disturbance to the area. PLS Group UK were asked by one of its long-term civil engineering clients to carry out the clearance of trees and vegetation across a fifteen mile stretch of countryside over farmland, railway land and through woodland areas to allow the placement of the clients heavy-duty winching equipment and scaffolding.
