Our staff are all trained and qualified to a high standard. All have National Proficiency Test Council (NPTC) certificates for chainsaw use.

All personnel are qualified to carry out arboricultural works to British Standard 3998:2010 and we carry full public liability insurance.

We have a comprehensive Health and Safety system in place and carry out risk assessments on all projects. Method statements are provided where necessary to run in conjunction with the Risk Assessments and highlight any difficulties that may be encountered.
We ensure our services are at minimal cost to the environment by the use of biodegradable oil in our chainsaws, our waste disposal techniques ensure that we recycle the maximum amount of debris from our work.
We inspect sites prior to carrying out work to ensure we do not destroy nesting bird sites or bat roosts and have a minimum impact on other habitats.
Jason has worked in the Forestry and Arboricultural Industry for 30 years, starting in Forestry and moving onto Utility Arboriculture in the late nineties working across most of the country either on Rail or Highways and Power Lines. In 2008 he took the step into contracting on a freelance basis for several contractors, from this evolved the Parent company Powerline Surveying Ltd of which Brookside Tree Service is part of.
The future for Brookside Tree Service is to follow the same path as its Parent Company Powerline Surveying Ltd and offer its services as a bolt on to Blue Chip Companies providing solutions and training for their Arboricultural and Forestry needs.
Nichola has been with the company for 4 years, coming from running her own business, a ladies Fashion Boutique. She controls the day to day running of the office taking control and managing all financial, admin and basic health and safety requirements.
Sam has been with the company for 3 years and within this short space of time become a key part of the management team, he comes from a contracting back ground which has involved working with many electrical, rail and highway companies. His working experience has allowed the company to develop a fantastic bolt on Vegetation Division for all our clients and also developed the domestic side of our company.
Andi completed his HND in Arboriculture in 2005 at Sunderland University. After graduating he went on to develop his knowledge and practical skills working as a climbing arborist for a large company in Sunderland. Following this he moved to Yorkshire to take on a role working as a climber in the utility industry where he gained UA1 and UA2 qualifications. In 2013 Andi decided to take a leap into self employment as a UA5 qualified Surveyor.
He started working for our parent company Power Line Surveying ltd on a free lance basis and he now works as our Survey Manager looking after contracts and free lance surveyors. Over the last 5 years Andi has gained his PTS for ongoing contracts on railways, he has also completed several Arboriculture Association led courses and the Professional Tree Inspection course keeping up to date with changes and developments in the industry.
